  1. When only a young boy, a small Navajo boy was taken from his family and sent to boarding school. Ned, his given name, showed interest in the Marines, and after the Japanese bombed Pearl harbor, he got his chance. After waiting a year, he joined the Marines as a special Navajo code talker. Now, Ned puts memories of being beat in boarding school behind him, and comes to facing an entirely new challenge of beeating the Japanese at their own game...
I would recommend this book to people ages 11-18 who are interested in war and untold war stories. This book deserves a 9 out of a possible 10 stars.
